Blond Texas Sheet Cake

If you thought it could get no better than the good old chocolate
Texas Sheet Cake...wait until you try this!!! It is like a praline on top of light, white cake!

Combine the following:
1 box of white cake mix
1 cup of buttermilk
1/3 cup melted butter
4
egg whites
1/4 teaspoon of vanilla

Beat at low speed for two minutes...pour into a
greased
jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to
20 minutes. Let cool.

Carmel Pecan Frosting

Toast 1 cup of chopped pecans on the stove top or in
350 degree oven.

In a saucepan combine the following:
1
cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter...bring to a boil whisking
constantly....remove from heat and add 1/3 cup of
buttermilk. Return to the heat and bring to a boil.
Gradually add 2 cups of
powdered sugar whisking until
smooth. Stir in
pecans and pour over cooled cake!
Sometime I do a recipe and a half of the frosting...because, can you really have too much frosting????
