| Brie and Sausage Breakfast Casserole 1 (8 oz) round of Brie 1 pound of spicy pork sausage 6 slices of bread 1 cup grated Parm 7 eggs 3 cups whipping cream 2 cups of skim milk (like that's gonna help!) 1 tablespoon fresh, chopped sage 1 teaspoon seasoned salt 1 teaspoon dry mustard Trim the Brie and cube (put it in the freezer for 30 minutes to make this easier! Cook sausage and drain. Cut the crust from the bread and layer in the bottom of a 9x13, lightly greased pan. Top with sausage, brie, parm, and slices of bread. Whisk together 5 eggs, 2 cups of whipping cream, and the remaining ingredients. Pour over the layers, cover, and chill for 8 hours or overnight. Whisk together remaining 2 eggs and 1 cup of whipping cream. Pour evenly over chilled mixture. Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until set. Garnish with scallions. |
