Mustard Glazed Beef Brisket

In the bottom of a
roasting pan add the following:

1 1/2 cups of beef broth
1 large onion sliced
2 teaspoons of minced garlic
1
bay leaf

In a small baggie add 8 whole peppercorns and 4 whole
allspice...beat with a mallet or
rolling pin
until broken apart. In a small bowl combine the
following:
the allspice and peppercorns
3/4
cup brown sugar
3 Tablespoons of dijon mustard...mix until
combined.
Spread mixture on both sides of a 2 1/2 to 3 pound
brisket. Place brisket on top of the onion mixture.
Place in
the oven and bake at 350 degrees for one hour for each
pound. If cooking in a roasting pan....cover tightly
with foil and cut slits in the top for vents.
