Pork Chops with Golden Apple Raisin Sauce & Broccoli Whole Wheat Mac & Cheese

I have used both chicken breast and pork chops with this recipe. I am a big fan of whole wheat pasta. It takes a little longer to cook, but it is so much more hearty! The best part about this recipe is that it is a whole meal in one recipe!!!!

4 golden delious aples, cored, and chopped
1 cup of
apple juice
3
T. brown sugar
1/4 cup of raisins
1 t. cinnamon
salt and pepper
1/2 pound
whole wheat pasta shells
2 cups broccoli florets
4
pork chops or chicken breast
2 T. butter
1 T. flour
1 1/2 cups of milk at room temp or warmed in the microwave
1/2 pound shredded white
cheddar cheese
1/4
cup maple syrup
2 T. brown mustard

Add apples,
brown sugar, cinnamon, and raisins to a
saucepan...cook for about 15 minutes or until the
apples are tender.

Sprinkle chops or breast with salt and pepper...in a
large pan, cook the meat until done. Mix together the maple syrup and mustard. Stir the mixture into the pan, and turn to coat.

Bring large pot of water to boil...add salt to season
and add the pasta...in the last two minutes of cooking
add the broccoli...drain them both.

In a medium pan melt the butter and whisk in the flour
and cook for one minute. Whisk in the milk slowly...stir in
the cheese and stir until it melts...season with
salt
and pepper
and add the pasta and broccoli.

Top the chops with
applesauce and serve the pasta alongside!
